ⅰ型水接头广泛用于水电灌桨及坑道钻进，可满足300米以下钻孔的需要。

ⅱ型水接头体积小、转动贯量合理、高速情况下稳定性高，尤其是密封效果好，满足300-1500米钻孔的需要。

ⅲ型水接头具备ⅱ型优点，通水量较高，满足煤田钻探及1000-2200米钻孔的需要。现被广泛应用于钻探施工机台中。
